Britain does not lack wealth, talent or ambition. What Britain lacks is a coherent economic settlement capable of turning those strengths into sustained prosperity.
Manifesto 1.1 proposes a different settlement: security without dependency, responsibility without abandonment, growth without complacency and long-term reform rather than short-term giveaways.
The citizen receives security. In return, the citizen who is capable of contributing is expected to contribute.
Nobody who genuinely cannot work should be abandoned.
Those capable of contributing should work, study, train or otherwise participate.
Britain should actively encourage enterprise, investment, productivity, housing and technology.
Manifesto 1.1 has completed its forty-day public-release journey: thirty-nine proposals published across forty days, covering economic, social and institutional reform.
Thank you to everyone who read, questioned, challenged, shared or discussed these proposals. Your public comments, discussion posts, formal submissions, expert correspondence and private feedback helped test the ideas and, in some cases, changed the direction of the project.
Publication of a contribution does not imply that its author endorses Manifesto 1.1 as a whole. It records their participation in an open process of scrutiny, disagreement and improvement.
The completion of the release schedule does not mean that every policy is settled. Manifesto 1.1 remains an independent, evolving proposal—not a finished political programme and not a claim that every assumption is correct.
Both project websites will remain live as a public reference, historical record and continuing place for discussion. Evidence, challenges and contributions remain welcome. Where the case for change is established, future revisions will be recorded transparently rather than silently replacing what came before.

Manifesto 1.1 is the natural progression of Manifesto 1.0: a programme tested in public, challenged through debate and revised in response.
The original pledge for one million new social homes has been withdrawn following public scrutiny and citizen involvement. The revised programme aims to enable one million additional homes over ten years through mixed tenure, with public and social delivery alongside conditional private-sector incentives.
Manifesto 1.1 is deliberately versioned. It is an attempt to start a serious debate, not a claim that every assumption is correct.
If evidence demonstrates that an idea is wrong, it should change.

One copy per person, not per monthly payment. Renewals, tier changes and rejoining do not qualify for another copy. No second payment is required; stopping renewals does not remove the earned book entitlement. A first payment refunded before dispatch cancels the shipment.
